Furniture designed with teak and wood is comparatively dense. You could apply teak oil on such furniture to prevent stains. Besides this, Tung oil will reduce the chances of graying of furniture due to ultra violet rays. Avoid using polyurethane finish or sealers for cleaning such wood, because they already are oily in nature.

Stone garden furniture:

Stone garden furniture is usually designed by using ceramics, granite, sandstone, and marble. They are quite expensive when compared to metal and wooden furniture. Pure stone contains pores, and hence they have the tendency to absorb. Any kind of liquid or dirt could penetrate deep inside the pores resulting in the formation of stains.

Proper maintenance is important to prevent these stains from forming. They are prone to frost, and it is better to move them inside the homes during winters. The stone items last for a really long time, but you could use sealers and cleaners to maintain their original look.

Hardwood garden furniture:

These types of furniture are easy to maintain, as they can be easily cleaned with the help of a wet towel or sponge. Any kind of liquid spills must be removed from their surface. You get a lot of home maintenance kits that will help you with easy furniture maintenance.

How to remove accumulated sap resins:

Small quantity of sap resins are usually accumulated on the surface of wood during changing climatic conditions. As soon as these resins form into crystals, they can be removed by using a stiff brush. If they turned into a sticky substance, you could use sharp knife for their removal, but make sure that you do not damage the wood in the process. Later, you could clean the surface by applying white spirit.
